Prior to joining Learning Network, she designed educational software for Computer Curriculum Corporation. She has also held positions in the editorial and sales divisions of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and is a former English teacher and reading specialist. A former manager and teacher in Kaplan's test preparation division, Ms. Vandenbrooks returns to the company after serving as a Product Director at Renaissance Learning, where she developed professional development programs for teachers in math, state testing and classroom management. She has also taught high school and middle school social studies and English language arts in Detroit area public and private schools and was the personal traveling tutor for high school R&B recording artist Aaliyah on her world tour.
