Representatives Corrine Brown, Peter Deutsch, and four other members of the house have asked the Department of Justice to investigate the FDLE's actions, Local 6 News has learned. They claim the FDLE used "intimidating tactics" and said agents wore guns while questioning black voters in Orlando's Parramore area. "I'm asking for outside monitors to come into Florida and look at this situation and this voter intimidation," Brown said. "People were intimidated, and I think that's what a legitimate internal investigation could determine," Deutsch said. The FDLE would not respond on camera, but did say officers are required by state law to wear firearms. In a written statement, officials said the allegations are inaccurate and unfounded. FDLE agents are investigating claims of voting fraud in the Orlando's mayor's race. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
