Summary: Nepal's king names new Cabinet

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

GOVERNMENT UPHEAVEL: King Gyanendra announced a 10-member Cabinet dominated by his supporters one day after dismissing Nepal's government and declaring a state of emergency.

POLITICIANS ARRESTED: An official with the Nepali Congress party, an opposition party, estimated at least 50 of the group's top leaders had been taken away by police.

NEPAL ISOLATED: Telephone and Internet lines were cut and civil liberties were curtailed. The United States, the U.N., Britain and India were among those who criticized the king's actions.
