Final Report On The OKC Bombing Reveals Government Lies Wayne Hicks 08.06.01
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will forever stand in history as a day when America was rocked to its knees. It was also the day when shocked, horrified Americans showed what they were made of, scrambling through wreckage seeking one more survivor, digging with bare hands in concrete rubble that tore away skin and nails to try to save one more life, in the midst of the worst terrorist attack ever to happen on U.S. soil.
A few weeks ago, Timothy McVeigh walked into an execution chamber, the one man sentenced to pay the ultimate price for this crime. His attitude, say his lawyers and others who claim to have spoken with him, was one of willingness to die for his “cause”, sacrificing his life to awaken Americans to what their government is capable of.
On Saturday, five-time Oklahoma State Representative Charles Key, after six years of exhaustive study, unveiled the Final Report from his investigation of the Bombing, and Sierra Times was there to bring you some of the most startling facts from that report.
According to the “Official” story, as endorsed by the Federal Government, on April 19th, 1995, Timothy McVeigh drove a rented Ryder truck up to the front of the Murrah Building, parked it, got out and left. Some time thereafter, a 400 pound bomb made of Ammonium Nitrate and fuel oil that was loaded in the back of the truck exploded with sufficient force to cause many of the most stable structural members of the building to collapse, destroying the building and burying more than two hundred people in its wreckage. Rescue workers struggled through the day and night that followed to find and save as many survivors as possible.
McVeigh, some time later, was spotted driving at a high rate of speed some distance from Oklahoma City, in a yellow car with no license plates. He was allegedly pulled over by a Highway Patrolman who then learned that he had captured the most wanted man in US History without a struggle.
Key has some problems with the “Official” story.
“How do we know, “ he asked the crowd gathered at the NORFED-sponsored Liberty Event held in Oklahoma City Saturday, “when our government is lying to us?”
A burst of laughter circulated through the crowd as obvious tongue-in-cheek replies-“Their lips are moving!”-were offered forth, but Key was not smiling.
“We know they’re lying when the known facts do not support the story they offer us,” he explained. And, according to the final report of the investigating committee he has been spearheading for the past several years, the facts not only don’t support the feds’ version… they prove it to be patently false.
As the lights were dimmed and an overhead projector brought into focus, Key launched an expose of Government lies surrounding the Bombing. For instance:
More than one eyewitness and police report from the scene, shortly after the blast, mentioned “unexploded bombs”, which were being defused by police, in the hopes that they would provide information as to what kind of bombs had been employed, and who might have built or planted them. Less than a day later, these reports were denied, and have not been heard again.
Many of the ATF agents and other officials who worked in the building were given either permission or explicit warnings to be out of the building that morning. Some, including a Federal Judge, have never recanted on these claims. Yet the government calls them all liars.
Some time prior to the bombing, the DEA planned a raid on Elohim City, from which McVeigh is alleged to have worked out his plans. Their target: Andreas Strassmeir, a German National who was living a Elohim City and was notably vocal in his hatred for our government and who had been known to call for “bombings and other acts of terrorism” as means to bring the government to its knees. Strassmeir was almost certainly involved in the planning of the bombing, but the FBI warned the DEA not to make their raid, because the FBI had “an informant in place” there. That informant seems to have been Strassmeir himself, who was never even sought for questioning… until months later, shortly after he had left the country.
Tom Kessinger, who rented the truck to McVeigh, said he was not alone, and gave police a credible description of the man with him. This second suspect, known as “John Doe Number 2”, was sought for only a short time, and then dropped after federal claims that the several witnesses who saw him were all “confused”, and that there was in fact no “John Doe Number 2”
Seismographs around Oklahoma recorded the blast of the bomb in the Ryder truck. They also record another blast, or series of smaller blasts, that took place seconds before the truck bomb blew up. There is no other explanation for the readings but that there were multiple explosions occurring, first the smaller blasts, such as are commonly found when a building is professionally demolished by fastening explosives to the bases of its structural members, and then the second, less contained and louder explosion of the bomb in the truck. However, the government has steadfastly denied that there were multiple explosions.
The 4000 pound ANFO bomb that the government claims did all of the damage to the Murrah Building was not capable of the devastation it is supposed to have wrought. So say numerous demolition experts from all walks of life, including nuclear physicist Sam Cohen, Brigadier General Benton Partin, NASA scientist C. Frederick Hansen, and military and construction experts. Key showed slides of several buildings which had been attacked in similar ways, some with much larger and more powerful bombs… and none suffered the damage the Murrah Building did.
Candy Avey, who was at the front door of the Murrah Building, preparing to enter, as the bomb went off was among the survivors. Her own words: “I was blown back, wrapped around the [parking] meter, and my face hit the car…” If the blast had happened only outside the building, Candy could not have been blown backwards, away from it… she would have been blown inward, through the doors and into the path of the falling rubble.
The crater left by the truck bomb was reported by the FBI, immediately after the blast, to be 32 feet wide. Later, when FEMA sent its investigators in to try to determine what kind of bomb had been used, they were not allowed to approach the crater, which had been covered with plywood, but were kept back 200 feet… and were told that the crater measured 28 feet across. Analysis of photos of the crater, with known people and equipment standing next to it, reveal that the crater was only 18 feet wide. One source claims that the dimension of 32 feet was called in because the agent was trying to “reverse-engineer” the bomb… in other words, a scenario calling for laying the blame for the bombing on a 4000 pound ANFO bomb was in place before the explosion even took place, and a 4000 pound ANFO bomb should leave a 32-foot crater, so that’s what was called in. The actual 18-foot crater leads to the conclusion that the bomb was far smaller… and therefore far less damaging… than the FBI wants us to believe.
Add to the above the fact that the receipts for Ammonium Nitrate found in the home of Terry Nichols, McVeigh’s sole alleged accomplice, represented far smaller amounts than would have been required for such a bomb… and the fact that only one tiny crystal of AN was ever found at the scene. That crystal seemed to vanish shortly after it was certified by a forensic specialist, and so cannot be reexamined.
These and many other facts are contained in Key’s Final Report, a book which he had planned to unveil on Saturday… but for unexplained reasons, his book manufacturer, who assured him the books would be ready prior to the Liberty Event, have been unable to get a completed copy in his hands. The book is certain to raise almost as many questions as it answers, but for those who are still trying to fathom the depth of the government’s involvement in the Bombing and the botched investigation that followed, it is sure to be a gold mine of information.
Key’s website, http://www.okcbombing.org, contains more information on the pending release of the book, Sierra Times will be bringing you more information over the coming days.
