Whether it is television, radio, newspapers, magazines, books or the internet, fewer and fewer giant conglomerates are determining what we see, hear and read. And, as a result of radical deregulation efforts by Bush’s FCC and some horrendous court decisions, the situation is likely to become much worse. Increased corporate control over the media, and the consequent lack of alternative viewpoints, is a major issue that must be addressed.
