Bush said senators who have been bombarded with calls from opponents also need to hear from those who support his immigration plan, the Washington Times reported. "There's a lot of emotion on this issue, and it makes sense to have people from around the country come and sit down with members of Congress to talk rationally about the issue," Bush said Friday at the Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington. Bush spoke a day after the beleaguered bill was revived in the Senate. Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., put the bill back on the Senate's schedule for next week, while Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., threatened to block any attempt to send the bill to an eventual House-Senate conference.
