Bush, Blair concerned on Iraq and nuclear weapons
CAMP DAVID, Md., Sept 7 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair expressed concern on Saturday about Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's alleged development of nuclear weapons and said there was sufficient evidence to act against him.
Bush and Blair, talking to reporters before opening about three hours of talks at Bush's presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains, both mentioned an International Atomic Energy Agency report from 1998 that said Saddam could be six months away from developing nuclear weapons.
"I don't know what more evidence we need," Bush said.
Blair said he had been reading the report. "A policy of inaction is not a policy we can responsibly subscribe to," he said.
